About Turku Fan Club

Kuvittele kaksi vanhaa turkulaista kaverusta, toinen vajaa viiskymppinen ja toinen reilu nelikymppinen. He sattuvat törmäämään Kauppatorilla tietysti juuri sillä hetkellä, kun kahvila houkuttelee tuoksullaan ja ihmisvilinässä on sitä tuttua, lämmintä tunnelmaa. He istahtavat lempikahvilaansa, tilaavat tummapaahtoiset ja tietenkin ne aidoimmat, sokerilla kuorrutetut turkulaiset piispanmunkit, jotka ihan sulavat suussa.

Siinä he sitten istuvat, kuuntelevat ympärillään pyörivää turinaa ja naurua, katsovat kauniita ja ystävällisiä turkulaisia, jotka kuljeskelevat kiireettömästi ohi. Jokainen hymy, jokainen tuttu murresana tuo mukanaan iloa, huumoria ja sitä turkulaista kauneutta, jota ei voi kopioida. Se on koettava itse.

Once the donuts are devoured and the cups are empty, it’s time for the next stop. There's no rush today so they head toward their favorite riverboat. A couple of drinks in hand, surrounded by good people and good vibes, it feels like an afternoon spent with old friends. As they stroll along the riverbank, the familiar scenery of Turku unfolds before them, their favorite bridge, a beloved steamboat and the silhouette of a church reflected on the water like an old postcard.

Along the way they spot all the city’s iconic sights, the grand cathedral, the naked runner statue, a few hills with curious buildings, a numbered smokestack, a river ferry, a funicular, Föri and a big white swan. Neighborhoods and street corners flash through their minds and each step feels like walking on the very soil of love. Every breath is filled with the scent of home, every glance catches its beauty.

And after these moments they pause and think
